More Push for Stem Cell Research Funding in New York

Througough this month, legislation has been introduced within the State Assembly to create the New York State Institute for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine.....
Ellison, 26, of Stony Brook has become a vocal advocate for stem cell research. She was hit by a car while crossing a street in 1991 and remains paralyzed from the neck down.
Scientists spoke of colleagues who have become reluctant to pursue research involving stem cells, and owners of local biotech firms said they're having difficulty finding venture capital because of the Bush administration policy.
