In my digging about for more involved breakdowns in the actual technologies under review I have found some papers and articles that might be of interest ....
Lets get some links now, and will likely add to this, as I really could use a new set of knees .. and I am counting on someone finding a solution for me.
First is an older article from Johns Hopkins: Tissue Engineers Steering Stem Cells to Produce Bones, Cartilage. Its a bit out of date, but gives some background.
Within this PDF is further info about Jennifer Elisseeff's work at Johns Hopkins as well. Worth a read for a general insight and interview .. her article is farther down in the PDF.

Next is a REALLY in depth article about this further research from Tissue Engineering from work done at Johns Hopkins - Warning .. EXTREMELY comprehensive, but a good read.
