Swiss approve stem cell research law

More than 66 percent of the 1.15 million Swiss who voted Sunday supported a law, passed by Parliament in 2003, that allows research on stem cells harvested from surplus human embryos but does not allow researchers to create research embryos.
Swiss scientists, describe the referendum results as ‘restrictive', but they are glad they can continue their work in some way.
